Nicholas Hedworth

Nicholas graduated from the University of Bath in 2023 with a Masters in Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. For his final project, he designed and built an affordable and open-source humanoid robotic head featuring a capable neck mechanism and independently moving eyes. The work was eventually published in a scientific hardware journal with further computational developments using the cameras and microphones. It is also being used as a teaching tool during robotic project weeks.
 
Nicholas joined the FabLabs team as an Electronics Research Engineer in January 2025, where his role will be to accelerate the development of experiments for research in the SWC.
